The Limes Nursery School are delighted to share the latest progress from their ongoing planting work. Over time, the children have been working with Claudia from Children’s Kitchen to grow a range of produce, including broad beans, radishes, beetroot and more. These activities provide rich opportunities for early years learning, supporting children’s understanding of the natural world in line with the EYFS.
The photographs captured so far show several stages of the project, from preparing the soil to observing the first signs of growth. They also show the next planting bed being made ready for the upcoming stage of their gardening work. This hands‑on approach continues to encourage children’s curiosity, confidence and engagement as they explore nature through real‑life experiences in their nursery school environment.
