St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School have enjoyed a positive and engaging week in the Orange Room as children begin their preparations for Eid. The nursery school has been filled with enthusiasm, with children sharing their excitement and talking about the different customs their families follow as they get ready for the celebrations.
As part of the preparations, the children have been busy decorating their classroom. They have created their own Eid cards and colourful decorations, carefully using their fine motor skills to design unique pieces for both their homes and the nursery environment. Circle time discussions have also been used to talk about the special Eid party planned for the following week, giving children opportunities to express their ideas and build confidence through shared conversations. These activities support communication, language and personal, social and emotional development within the EYFS.
Alongside their indoor learning, the children have been making the most of the warmer weather with plenty of outdoor play in the nursery school garden. They have enjoyed exploring the equipment and taking part in imaginative games with their friends, supporting physical development and social skills through active play. The fresh air and sunshine have provided an ideal setting for children to learn, play and connect with one another during a busy and exciting week at nursery.
