Speedwell Nursery School is delighted to share its Songs, Rhymes and Stories collection, where children and families can join Ellie, the wonderful music teacher, in singing some of the favourite songs enjoyed together at nursery.
Music is a joyful and important part of learning at Speedwell. Singing songs and rhymes supports children’s language development, listening skills, memory and confidence, whilst also bringing a real sense of fun and wellbeing. When children sing familiar songs, they build vocabulary, develop a sense of rhythm and pattern, and experience the joy of making music together. Sharing these songs at home is a wonderful way to extend the learning and enjoy special moments together as a family.
The collection features a lovely range of songs, including Good Morning, One Bright Scarf, Play and Stop, Popcorn Kernels, Shakey Shakey, Zoom Zoom, Forwards and Backwards, the Firework Song and Hello Everyone. Whether singing along, learning new songs or simply enjoying the music, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Families are warmly invited to explore the collection and sing along together.
