Jobs at Ilminster Avenue Nursery School, Bristol

We work holistically with children, families, and community groups, believing all children have the right to the best possible start in life through cooperative partnerships with families from the community. Our nursery sessions are developed around a daily routine that provides opportunities for children to work as part of a key group, form new friendships, and explore our exciting environment, including more than half an acre of outside play space that Ilminster Avenue Nursery School continually strives to develop. We encourage children to be independent, support them in exploring the world around them, and promote a love of story, rhyme, and song, with outdoor learning being highly valued as it gives children excellent opportunities to learn and explore both the natural and man-made worlds with staff support. At Ilminster Avenue Nursery School, we believe that every child deserves the best start in life, with play being central to this belief as it is every child’s right and how they learn, express themselves, and explore new experiences while finding out about the world around them. Engaging in play enables children to be curious, develop independence, try things out, become resilient, feel proud, and become confident in who they are, and our dedicated team of experienced Early Years experts will work with you to create a secure, safe, and happy childhood, building foundations for lifelong learning by nurturing children’s inquisitive nature and capacity for play so that they become passionate about their world and learning—because play is learning and learning is play.
