Cashmore Early Years Centre had the cosiest World Book Day celebration this month, with children arriving in their pyjamas, clutching a favourite book and a cuddly toy to share with their friends.
The day was filled with a love of stories, with children exploring lots of different books and talking about the tales and characters they love most. It was wonderful to hear the children sharing their favourites and discovering new ones together, building connections through shared reading experiences.
The children also began learning about the different parts of a book, from the cover and title to the pages inside, building early literacy knowledge in a way that felt fun and completely natural. These cosy, joyful experiences help children develop a genuine love of reading whilst understanding how books work and discovering the magic of stories.
