It has been a wonderful start to the term in Willow Class at The Limes Nursery School, with both returning and new children settling in beautifully.
The children have been getting to know each other, building new friendships and developing confidence as they explore their learning environment and daily routines. The recent autumnal weather has provided the perfect opportunity to make the most of the brand new garden. Children have particularly enjoyed challenging themselves on the climbing equipment, developing their physical skills and coordination, as well as spending time in the sand tray, where they have been working together, sharing ideas and engaging in imaginative play.
As signs of autumn begin to appear, the children have been exploring the changing season through a range of creative experiences. They have enjoyed collecting colourful leaves from outdoors and using them in paint activities and clay creations. These experiences have encouraged children to observe the natural world closely, express their creativity and develop their fine motor skills as they experiment with different materials and textures.
The team at The Limes is looking forward to seeing where the children’s interests take them as they continue to explore the season together.
