A Wonderful End of Term at St Philip’s Marsh Nursery School

Jul 23, 2026

St Philip’s Marsh Nursery School celebrated the end of term in style this week with a Teddy Bears Picnic, bringing together children, families and staff to mark the end of the school year.

The Teddy Bears Picnic on Wednesday 15th July was a joyful celebration filled with activities, music, dancing and delicious fruit. Children and families came together to celebrate the year, say goodbye to friends and enjoy time together. The children had made their own sandwiches and enjoyed the homemade food alongside the fruit and vegetable sticks generously donated by parents and carers. It was a wonderful way to close the term as a community.

Also on 15th July, the summer raffle was drawn, and St Philip’s Marsh would like to thank everyone who supported the raffle by buying tickets. All money raised goes towards school funds, which are spent on children’s activities and enrichment. A big thank you goes to Heidi Taylor, the school governor, for generously donating and sourcing the wonderful prizes.

As the summer holidays begin, St Philip’s Marsh sends the very best wishes to all the children moving on to primary school — the nursery will miss you and wishes you all the very best for this next exciting chapter. For children returning to St Philip’s Marsh in September, the team looks forward to welcoming them back and continuing the learning journey together. Have a wonderful summer!
