Why chooseSt Pauls Nursery School

Values-Driven Approach to Learning
St Pauls Nursery School & Children’s Centre operates with five key values that underpin all aspects of its work: Emotional Well-Being, Learning is Learnable, Inclusivity, Personal Histories, and Creativity. These values inform the centre’s vision, strategic development, policy, provision, practice, and research. The centre creates an environment where children feel emotionally contained and develop secure attachments, while also cultivating a community where everyone recognizes themselves as lifelong learners. Families praise this values-driven approach that helps children develop resilience, inquisitiveness, and social integration in a warm, caring environment.

Exceptional Outdoor and Experiential Learning
St Pauls boasts extensive grounds that facilitate wonderful outdoor play and learning opportunities throughout the year. Children benefit from experiences like growing plants, cooking on an open fire, and exploring Bristol in the centre’s minibus. These activities serve as powerful provocations for children to talk, think, connect, become independent, and take appropriate risks. The centre’s commitment to connecting children with nature and the wider community creates rich, memorable learning experiences that develop confidence and curiosity. Parents particularly value these outdoor opportunities that allow children to explore and develop in natural environments.

What people say aboutSt Pauls Nursery School
This is the most brilliant nursery. Both our children had a fantastic time there. The facilities are excellent, but it is the staff, led by a first-class leadership team, that make this such a standout centre. All the staff put the children first at all times, and they convey energy in what they do with a fantastic ethos. We always knew our children were safe and learning how to be resilient, inquisitive, and socially integrated.
My two children have attended St Paul’s from the ages of 12 months through to school age. Both have flourished in the warm, caring environment with fantastic staff and a diverse mix of children and backgrounds. They have loved it. St Paul’s is a children’s centre too, offering wider support for families and parents going through different parenting challenges. I’ve learnt so much from them that has informed my own parenting and helped me through the difficult patches.
Both my children went there. It gave them the most fantastic start to life. The setting is incredibly supportive and inclusive, with emotional wellbeing for all families being at the heart of everything they do. I wish my children could obtain this level of care throughout their education!
